The Beauty Range: I Feel Bad About My Neck

The Beauty Range: I Feel Bad About My Neck

Thirteen years ago, when I read Nora Ephron’s collection of essays, I Feel Bad About My NeckI was too young to appreciate the perils of aging.  Every month, it feels like there’s some thing else — a new ache, a new spider vein, a new wrinkle.  It’s exhausting.  So let’s talk about taking care of the skin on your neck.

First off, let’s talk about this video from Gabbie Makeup discussing how to fight wrinkles on your neck.  I have three large wrinkles on my neck, and have since I was a kid because my posture isn’t fantastic.  And as I age, they’re getting worse.  So this video was a bit of a game changer for me when it comes to preventing future damage.

This Anti-Aging Desert Rose Oil from Nurse Jamie is the only one that doesn’t make my neck breakout.  It’s made for the face, but works well for both.  If you’re hunting for a less expensive oil, try The Ordinary’s Virgin Sea Buckthorn Oil.

This is a silicone wrap from Nurse Jamie that you place on your neck décolletage while your products absorb to increase their effectiveness.  It works on the same principle as silicone bandages for scar treatment.  You can wear it as you sleep or under a top while working from home.

This Rose Quartz Gua Sha Crystal massage tool is good for encouraging lymphatic drainage.  It also massages pressure points.  For a vibrating tool, I own this one from Revolution Beauty and it does a good job.

For a sculpting and firming gel, I like this Rodial Dragon’s Blood.  It’s not the newest, hottest thing out there, but it’s light and effective.

Do you have a neck cream or tool you like?  Leave it in the comments.
