GO-TO BLACK JACKET
Happy Friday, friends! How has your week been? We have had a good week over here. We celebrated my youngest son’s birthday with a birthday dinner out (turned crazy and late) on Tuesday night. We decided to call it a night and head home around 11:30 with my mom begging to have a nightcap elsewhere. I swear that woman has more energy than all of us put together! We had to put the kibosh on that idea and take her home! We’ve had my youngest and his wife here for over a week because they had a broken pipe from last week’s frigid temps. They moved back to their home last night, and I’m kind of sad! It was like Christmas morning every day while they were here. But… we have someone coming in tonight to stay, and I am super excited!
Today on the fashion front, I am wearing this go-to black scuba jacket from Veronica Beard that I have had for over five years. This is a staple that I constantly wear. It’s so comfortable and has been a core piece for Veronica Beard each year. If you need a go-to black jacket (it comes in navy and white as well), this one is a classic. I wanted to bring in a little spring tease with the polka dot ruffled blouse and my Frame leather cropped pants. I have worn these pants to death (I wore them on Tuesday night to the birthday dinner). I love wearing my leather all year round (except in July, August, and September in Dallas)
We decided to shoot these photos in my living room because it was too cold outside. I love fashion, but I love home decor just as much. I have collected nude paintings for over twenty years. We did an all-nude wall in this room, and I love how it turned out (getting ready to rearrange because I have two new ones). I love nudes, but they have to be tasteful (no big nips, full bushes, or penises!). I have collected them at galleries, antique stores, and online. Two places that I have actually ordered nudes from are One King’s Lane and1st Dibs. I love having collections (my other collection is turtle shells)
I mentioned above that I had someone coming in tonight to stay. I can’t believe I am finally writing this, but my daughter is on the plane heading home after being gone a year! I have never wanted a day to go by so fast! She is coming home to stay for a while (bringing a 9-month-old puppy with her). Her boyfriend will join her in a few weeks. Anyway, I am so EXCITED to finally really see her!!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Stay healthy and safe! xx
