As much as fleeting fashion jewellery trends are fun to dip the toes into, there comes a time when you’d want to crossover into the realm of fine jewellery. These are the acquisitions that you’d have in rotation in your armoire for a very, very long time. To those unacquainted with fine jewellery, it can make for a daunting leap.
At Louis Vuitton, the maison’s artistic director of watches and jewellery Francesca Amfitheatrof cushions this transition with collections that so effortlessly melds the preciousness of fine jewellery with an achingly cool aesthetic. Her 2019 debut collection, coined B.Blossom instantly rose to acclaim for rendering luxurious cocktail rings into modern pieces to covet. A feat that she continues to expertly pull-off in her second and latest collection named LV Volt.
The expansive five-part graphic collection – LV One, LV Multi, LV Curb Chain, LV Mesh and LV Upside Down – continues to push the envelope on fine jewellery. Throughout the collection, the maison’s initials take centre stage as key motifs rendered in an array of permutations. For instance, LV Mesh reveals the initials “l” and “v” stacked to form fluid meshes. While, LV One, on the other hand, evokes a sense of simple elegance with a straight-forward design with the alphabets set at its core.
There’s plenty of room to play around with the collection, be it stacking the rings or layering the chains. Of course, Yoyo’s got you covered with all the style inspiration you might need here. While you’re buzzing with the energy, why not put it to use shopping for the very pieces?
