Gotten bored of your room? Then a fresh lick of paint might be what you need. And don’t worry if you’re renting and can’t actually paint your walls, there are plenty of other ways to add some new-season colour to your space: think investing in a new piece of colourful furniture, painting your old wardrobe in a fresh new tone or adding a bold rug or hanging tapestry. Note: clashing colours like this asparagus and mustard combo are especially on trend right now.

Another easy way to instantly change up the whole vibe of your room, is covering an entire wall with art. The trick is to mix and match here: go for different frame sizes, a mix of graphics, slogans and abstract art but then make sure you achieve a coherent look with the colour scheme. You can also go the extra mile and make your own art – there are tonnes of great DIYs out there that teach you how to make your own Matisse lookalike or a cool collage from magazine scraps. The options are endless.
